Welcome! Our church is open to all people. We celebrate our diversity while we seek to walk together as God's faithful people. Worship is the central core of our family and we delight in our educational programs, mission outreach, music, youth, and social gatherings. We seek God's guidance in what we do while at the same time trying to keep ourselves informed and responsive to world events. God is still speaking to us and through us. We welcome you to journey with us.

Rally Day, September 12th is fast approaching and we are calling all of you, children, youth and adults to join us as we celebrate the beginning of a new year! Come and make new friends, come and learn anew what it means to be part of God’s beloved family, come and listen to the stories of our faith that continue to guide us as we seek to live lives of meaning and purpose!

On September 12th we will return to two worship services at 8:00am and 10:00am.

Sunday School registration for preschool through the 8th grade begins at 9:30 am in Hay Hall (Upper Social Hall). Word on the street is that Sunday School will be super this year!

Please join us after 10:00am worship on Rally Day for our all church picnic. The Church Council will be supplying burgers, "dogs" and buns, as well as beverages, plates, cups, and plastic ware. As always, we would appreciate a little help from the congregation to complete the meal! If your last name begins with A-H, please bring a dessert; I-R, please bring a side dish; S-Z, please bring a salad. See you there!

Transition from Boards to Ministry and Council ~ Update July 2010
The Congregational Church of South Dartmouth, UCC

The Council thanks everyone who contributed to the recent survey concerning the suspension of Articles VIII through XVII of our by-laws to enable a “trial” of an elected council structure. Respondents pointed out a number of benefits of the new structure, as well as some areas of concern.   From the survey results, it is apparent that we need to provide clarification and the following, hopefully, illustrates where we are and where we are going.
Click here to view the table summarizing the old and the new structure for comparison.
